چکیده

By using the quantum hydrodynamic and Maxwell equations, we derive the generalized nonlinear electron magnetohydrodynamic, the generalized nonlinear Hall-MHD HMHD , and the generalized nonlinear dust HMHD equations in a self-gravitating dense magnetoplasma. Our nonlinear equations include the self-gravitating, the electromagnetic, the quantum statistical electron pressure, as well as the quantum electron tunneling and electron spin forces. They are useful for investigating a number of wave phenomena including linear and nonlinear electromagnetic waves, as well as three-dimensional electromagnetic wave turbulence spectra and structures arising from mode coupling processes at nanoscales in dense quantum magnetoplasmas. © 2009 American Institute of Physics. Quantum electrodynamical modes in pair plasmas

We predict the existence of new nonlinear electromagnetic wave modes in pair plasmas. The plasma may be either non-magnetized or immersed in an external magnetic field. The existence of these modes depends on the interaction of an intense circularly polarized electromagnetic wave with a plasma, where the nonlinear quantum vacuum effects are taken into account. This gives rise to new couplings b...

Variational Formulations of Exact and Reduced Vlasov-Maxwell Equations

The foundations of gyrokinetic theory are reviewed with an emphasis on the applications of Lagrangian and Hamiltonian methods used in the derivation of nonlinear gyrokinetic Vlasov-Maxwell equations. These reduced dynamical equations describe the turbulent evolution of low-frequency electromagnetic fluctuations in nonuniform magnetized plasmas with arbitrary magnetic geometry.

Mode-impedance Technique for Modeling of Electromagnetic Wave Propagation in Plasmas

The impedance technique, also known as the particular case of the invariant embedding approach, is generalized for modeling of electromagnetic wave propagation in the anisotropic and gyrotropic media with spatial dispersion such as hot magnetized plasmas. That provides a new way for analytical and numerical studies of “full wave” problems in plasma physics that require exact solutions of Maxwel...

Electromagnetic solitary pulses in a magnetized electron-positron plasma.

A theory for large amplitude compressional electromagnetic solitary pulses in a magnetized electron-positron (e-p) plasma is presented. The pulses, which propagate perpendicular to the external magnetic field, are associated with the compression of the plasma density and the wave magnetic field. Here the solitary wave magnetic field pressure provides the restoring force, while the inertia comes...

Scattering and Modulational Instabilities in Magnetized Plasmas

The decay of a high-frequency wave into a scattered and an electrostatic wave is investigated for a homogeneous magnetized plasma. For wave propagation in arbitrary directions, an equation for the scattered wave is obtained accounting for the effect of the non-linear current density produced by the three-wave interaction process. As an illustration, the propagation of electromagnetic waves perp...
